Free from traditional restrictions of form and use, REBELLION’s newest timepiece, the WEAP-ONE, literally breaks the mold. Worn on the body or displayed on a dashboard, this piece of mechanical art is uninhibited by existing rules. Suspended between the hour and minute rollers, an asymmetrical, 60-second flying tourbillon rotates on multiple axes. This novel and innovative feature enables the tourbillon to defy earth’s gravitational pull from all sides. Completed with two wheel nuts, this magnificent piece is truly revolutionary and unique.

Inspired by race car suspensions, this exclusive manufacture movement, developed in collaboration with Concepto, is housed in a detachable tube so it can easily become a miniature table clock. To facilitate handling, this technical prowess has an armature comprised of two push-pieces located on the titanium chassis.

The hour is displayed on the left and the minutes on the right, while the tourbillon is skillfully suspended between two platinum plates which rotate in opposite directions and at different speeds. Several speed differentials cause the flying tourbillon to rotate on multiple axes, rendering this manual engine extremely resistant to Earth’s gravitational pull.

A series of accessories will soon be available to multiply the uses of this timepiece, allowing it to become either a desktop clock, a car clock, or a pocket watch.

  • Tube

    An exquisite tube of sapphire crystal houses the innovative engine, giving an unobstructed view of its dynamic movements.

  • Rollers

    Reminiscent of mechanical odometers, two rollers rotate autonomously to show the time. The hours on the left and minutes on the right.

  • Flying Tourbillon

    Suspended between the hour and minute rollers, an asymmetrical 60-second flying tourbillon remains in constant motion. Attached to two internal plates, one plate completes a full rotation every minute; the other every two minutes.

  • Wheel Nuts

    Like the fastest race car suspensions in the world, the Weap-One is bookended by two REBELLION branded wheel nuts. The right wheel nut winds the movement while the left is used to set the time.

    The other asset of this timepiece is its ability to transform itself to meet all your desires. The case is clipped onto its strap using a support. Just detach it to transform it into a table clock.

Movement Inside

The regulating organ is placed on a frame, which is held on each side on rotating plates. On the right, the plate turns at 1 turns per minute, on the left at 0.5 turns per minute. This difference in speed creates variations in positions in the frame so that the tourbillon can evolve in all of the available space. A combination of several differentials, directly inspired by racing cars, has been developed to compensate for these variations in speed and therefore guarantee a regular force on the regulating organ. The plates can be compared to the wheels of a car, which turn at different speeds in a bend and the tourbillon to the drive shaft, with a differential between the two that allows everything to work.

Thanks to the presence of its tourbillon, the WEAP-ONE Diamond Asymmetrical Flying Tourbillon effectively resists against the negative effects of gravity. Precision and performance are therefore assured. The calibre guarantees 50 hours of power reserve once wound.
